It's all about vision...

Here in the heart of northeastern Minnesota, we've seen the future, and it looks like a great place to live, work and visit! To help make it all happen, we've created the Central Iron Range Initiative (CIRI), a community collaborative that is literally and figuratively changing the landscape of the region.

In the years and decades to come, an amazing new lake will be created, adding hundreds of miles of lakeshore and aquatic habitat; a wind power plant will produce electricity to power a regional wastewater treatment plant and regulate water levels in stunning manmade lakes; a motorsports park will draw hundreds if not thousands of competitors and spectators; lakeshore housing availability will expand; and new recreational trails will connect our downtowns with residential areas and other communities. And that's just the beginning!

We invite you to explore this web site to learn more about initiatives already underway, and share your ideas for strengthening the Central Iron Range.
