Projects on the Horizon
Community Planning
For
nearly a century, mining interests have been shaping communities and
development across the region. Working with mining companies, the Department of
Natural Resources and others, the CIRI has developed a plan for growth that
considers future mining, the reclamation of abandoned minelands, expansion
and/or revitalization of existing neighborhoods, and identifying senior and
affordable housing needs.
