Highway 169 Motor Plex
A
regional fan base for stock car and drag racing, plus an existing racetrack
that already draws more than 100 drivers and their crews every weekend, make a
solid platform on which to build a larger motorplex. A public-private
partnership is pursuing the project, which
includes a road course for use by the Hibbing Community College law
enforcement program as a training area, a snowcross track, motorcross track, a
3/8 or ?-mile oval track, campgrounds, grandstands, parking area and drag
strip.
